My curiosity for product design and leadership has led to four books. As well as being coauthor of Design Sprint and Product Leadership, I also authored  Design Leadership and Enterprise Design Sprints. When I'm not writing, speaking or teaching, I'm the CEO of Fresh Tilled Soil, an international user experience consultancy. Over the past two decades we've delivered on projects for hundreds of companies like Intel, GE Healthcare, Tripadvisor, Walgreens, FedEx, LendingTree, Time Warner Cable, BWIN, Ritz-Carlton, Harvard University, MIT, Hubspot, Intralinks, and Vertica. Prior to running Fresh I was a founding member of Acceleration (now a Wunderman company).

How Can We Work Together?

As a speaker or workshop leader at your product or design event

The best product and design leaders are always learning. Workshops are often the best way to get hands on knowledge of the skills and experiences that keep them sharp. Currently I am running public product leadership and design sprint workshops for several industry leaders, including InVision and Front. I also run private product leadership workshops for organizations like Insight Venture Partners, Deloitte Digital, Adobe, American Express, Drift and Slalom. 

As a product leadership advisor and strategist

As an interim product leader and advisor, my role is to guide and mentor product executives and their teams through critical transitions and decisions. These advisor engagements may be strategic or operational, or a combination of both.

As a writer or content creator on product and design topics

Apart from my own books, I will also work with clients to create specific content to drive engagement. Most recently I worked with InVision to create the Enterprise Design Sprint book. This 75,000 word online book is complete with thoroughly researched insights, video interviews with industry leaders and supported by blog posts and articles (1)(2)(3). The book is also linked to monthly workshops, which I create and deliver on behalf of the client.
